Quitting bass

I think deep down I always knew bass wasn’t “the one” for me.

Is it because I’m frustrated that I can’t find the perfect synth sound? Humiliated over the Wagon Wheel incident? Fed up with being mansplained to?

No, nothing so dramatic as all that. Actually, this is a happy occasion. You see, I finally found my perfect instrument.

Seriously, was this made specifically for me? Finally, something that marries my two great passions: egg shakers and apples.

I’m over the moon. Not even kidding: thiis low key my favorite thing in the world right now and I have every aspiration of incorporating into everything I do forever. It’s basically everything I ever wanted. I’ll probably continue *using* a bass here and there, but from here on out my heart belongs to apple shaker.

I’m still going to bum around here, of course. If actually being a competent bassist was a requirement for membership, I suspect we’d lose most of our more prominent posters. However, I would like to change my official designation from “bassist” to “pommeir.”

I’ve updated my avatar accordingly.
The picture is the same but the meaning has changed.

Thank you for understanding.

Hmmm...so what is the core issue here? And it stems from what?
