Bummer, sorry Andy...if it is meant to be it will make its way to you eventually. If not, something better is on the way.
That's what I'm trying to tell myself.
Ray has another one that he's finishing up but it's not as well suited for me as this last one.
I wish I could wait a few months, I'd just have the right one made for me. As it is I'm freaking out from not having a sixer for the last week. It's like losing an arm.
...on a side note, this Fodera NYC that I have in the meantime is rediculous!!!
I would just hang on and see what comes up. There's always another bass around the corner. It does seem a little defeating to have the 6-string chops without the 6-string.I would just hang on and see what comes up. There's always another bass around the corner.
That six string is gone. I was going to buy it from him next week...I'm very, very disapointed I have to say.
Bummer. I've had that happen to me before, and it's a drag. However, there's always another bass.
There's still a beautiful Atelier 6 string J for sale on the site. I'm not sure if that would be your thing, but it makes me wish I had 6 string chops.. which I don't.. at all.
K
Yeah, it's just that finding a six string that I can afford, with the narrow spacing and a 34" or less scale length is a challenge....
I would like to say that Ray has been very cool to speak with; very patient.
Here's you a cheap one. http://cgi.ebay.com/6-Strings-Electric-Guitar-Bass-w-Art-Inlay-1078_W0QQitemZ180123678987QQihZ008QQcategoryZ4713QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
And with a name like that it has to be high quality. Oh, 35" scale, too bad.
Ray is super cool guy. I sell wood to luthiers and he is one of the easiest to deal with.
I have several buckeye tops that I am sending to Ray in the next couple of weeks. AAAAA quality stuff, quite a bit of color variations and burled.
OK, Andy...no need to make us beg for the details now is there? :scowl:
Pm'd...
Can't give 'em up publically yet. It's something that he's working on for a 6 string. Until I send out the money there'll be no more words spoken here....I already missed one 6er that I wanted to get from Ray.
Jin, did you just buy the 6 string that Ray had, with the Shedua top?
