That's what I'm trying to tell myself.

Ray has another one that he's finishing up but it's not as well suited for me as this last one.

I wish I could wait a few months, I'd just have the right one made for me. As it is I'm freaking out from not having a sixer for the last week. It's like losing an arm.

...on a side note, this Fodera NYC that I have in the meantime is rediculous!!!

It does seem a little defeating to have the 6-string chops without the 6-string. :crying: I would just hang on and see what comes up. There's always another bass around the corner.

Yeah, it's just that finding a six string that I can afford, with the narrow spacing and a 34" or less scale length is a challenge....

I would like to say that Ray has been very cool to speak with; very patient.

Bummer. I've had that happen to me before, and it's a drag. However, there's always another bass.

There's still a beautiful Atelier 6 string J for sale on the site. I'm not sure if that would be your thing, but it makes me wish I had 6 string chops.. which I don't.. at all.

That's a great looking bass...but I can't do the full 19mm spacing on a 6er anymore.

And with a name like that it has to be high quality. Oh, 35" scale, too bad.
Ray is super cool guy. I sell wood to luthiers and he is one of the easiest to deal with.

Black hardware, matching wood pickups, nordstrands, buckeye, lovely lovely buckeye.

To be honest that is my 100% ideal bass right there. If I were to get one built that would be it.

Unfortunately, just a little over what i can pay. As i am in the UK i need to pay import tax etc. If it was nearer $2000 the money would be winging its way there right now.

Gutted.
