Yeah, I saw it on Mono's Instagram like at 2:00 in the morning and thought maybe he might've got some false info, but it seems legit after seeing this article and these tweets (Louis Johnson, Legendary Bassist, Dead at 60 My heart is dyin' right now man, this dude changed a lot of bass players lives, including mine.

Not just a great and inspiring player but also one of the pioneers of video instruction. Nostalgic to reflect on all the hours I spent with his video as a kid trying to cop his licks. Play on brother, play on.

While my primary listening/influences are Metal/Heavy/Classic Rock I will say that I do like to listen to some Funk from time to time and Strawberry Letter 23 and Stomp are two of my favorites. I was just listening to SL23 a few weeks ago, not just once but repeatedly. So this news saddens me as well, too young, too soon. RIP Louis, thank you for the gifts you left to the world.
