This is almost surreal. I've never really thought about or listened to him until about two days ago. I stumbled onto some live vids of him on YouTube and realized what an absolute monster he was...spent most of last night attempting to work up the bass parts on "Stomp" and "Strawberry Letter 23." Then I wake up this morning and read this news. So sad, another great one gone way too soon.

Man..... Mannn O man o man... Louis Johnson was one of the reasons I got into bass... and why I got a natural Jazz bass.. I initially wanted a natural P bass.. but picked the Jazz because it was more versatile.. Rest in peace Thunder Thumbs..
