a great author, its a shame they butchered the books to make them into movies.

I remember reading Andromeda Strain when I was in high school (I was a library rat). Thrilling, urbane stuff.
Then, of course, how can we forget the judicial use of T. Rex to unclog that flush in Jurassic Park of an unsightly lawyer...priceless!

I don't know many authors who could write about Vikings fighting Zombies from the viewpoint of a crazy Arab, and make it awesome.

defiantly a bummer. i read Jurassic Park for the first time in 3rd grade, it was my first thick book i ever read.
I loved him (Eaters Of The Dead) and hated him (State Of Fear was pathetic.) But... still... 66 is way too young for the vibrant mind that was MC. Bummer...
He wrote some excellent books! JP, Disclosure, Timeline, Sphere...

I liked the book and though the movie didn't exactly follow the book(how many really do?) it was pretty good.
