But the age old question remains:
Was he referring to a Black Magic----Woman, or a Black----Magic Woman?

I wish that was the case.
Many years ago “Greenie” was on display at The Philadelphia Guitar Show. Being a huge Fleetwood Mac .. John McVie fan..A nice post from photographer Ross Halfin highlighting a great moment from earlier in the year shared between Metallica's Kirk Hammett (who owns Greenie) and Green.

I asked the guy managing the booth if I could play it and maybe take a picture. To my surprise he was really nice and agreed. I played it about 5 minutes unplugged. Took a few pix and had a nice conversation with the guy.

It was actually about a woman who stole all the creams out of a box of chocolates:

The guy was super friendly. I circled a few times and waited until he was alone in his booth. He was super super kind. When I sheepishly asked him to get a picture he told me to take a seat in his booth and he placed the guitar in my lap. He took the photos too. There were a few other hi end guitars on display as well..not the Hendrix strat though. I’ll have to locate these photos.Very nice. Sounds like you may have interacted with the same person my buddy was working for.
Back in '06, Greenie found it's way into the hands of a local store/appraiser where a friend of mine was working. Out of the blue one day, my buddy reached out to me and invited me to swing by because they had a couple of things I would get a kick out of, including Greenie. He had cleared it with the owner of the store to allow me to stop by and check things out.
As if spending time with Greenie wasn't cool enough, also present was one of Jimi Hendrix's Stratocasters, a 1966 model used during the Electric Ladyland sessions to record "Foxy Lady" and "Hey Joe". See below.
All in all, an exciting, fun, mind-blowing day. I got to spend an hour or so with both guitars, snapped lots of photos and made memories I'll have the rest of my life.
Greenie was selling for a million bucks that day. It's yo-yo'd in price over the years... apparently, Kirk Hammett paid two million. The selling price of the Jimi Strat that day was $750,000. I heard it now belongs to John Mayer.

Great experience to remember but just for historical accuracy Foxy Lady and hey Joe were recorded in 1966 and Electric Ladyland wasn't built until 1970.
