R.I.P. Peter Green

After all this time, I still find a few gems that I haven’t heard before.

"Jumping at Shadows" is one of my favourites; written by one-time John Mayall collaborator, ofttimes one-man band, Greeny's friend and fellow Blue Horizon artist Anthony (Tony) "Duster" Bennett, who died in a car accident at age 29 after a gig with Memphis Slim in 1976.


Another version here. Gary Moore covered it in After Hours and again in Blues Alive.
What can you say? There isn't much to tell. Let all three RIP.

EDIT: here is Duster's guitar, a 1952 Gibson Les Paul Standard 'Gold Top' formerly Peter Green's, then owned by Antony "Top" Topham (the Yardbirds' first lead guitarist back in the early '60s.)
