Racial Microagressions

Yes, but did you learn what red flags to look for when viewing classic rock cover band Craigslist ads?

Do they pay cash? Before the show?
No.

Goodbye.

I'm willing to bet that most us here don't put meals on the table with our skills as bassists. I would be much skinnier.

It's my guess that blue did. People were ranking on Orinthioa or whatever the girl guitarist from Oz is called.

Just like Blue she's walking the walk. And that takes a certain amount of TF.

I got a STEM degree because I read a WSJ article that had them way down as far as unemployment goes. And while my SATs would have flown I was working since I was 14 and my grades wouldn't have gotten me into an Engineering program.

I have to respect not only the dedication but the sacrifice people like Blue and Orinatia make.

And really every one making a living in the field. Jack Bruce is still working. Because he has to.

I was fortunate enough to see Jim McCarty fronting his own band at a "BackStage" show in a town called Lakewood. BackStage because rather than open the entire theater they use the stage and the audience sits backstage.

This guy has managed to get through life without the dreaded "real job" And he said it wasn't always easy. And this was a mega star in one of the most influential bands in rock history.

I caught Danny Kalb at a church basement back in the seventies.

It was a heck of a snowy night and his band didn't show. Either did the audience. It was him me and a couple of others. Half of which came with me. Financially he a reason to sing the blues.

Two pieces of advice I give to budding musicians. Sing in a choir. and take business courses at your local community college.

And if you can see yourself doing anything else for a living do it.

I have no doubt there was a reason Bluewine was blue.
