I wish more racks had venting options. Do you think carpeted cases like Pearson get hot because they're a little more insulated?

Rubber suspended (not foam) cases from Mesa Boogie, and [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] have lots of space for airflow around the gear. Pity about the bulk, weight, and high cost.

10 space ATA case, removable lids, caster kit, NYS Tax, free shipping... <$160. The catch is you put it together yourself. If it sucks I'm going Pearson.

Came UPS today fully assembled 'cept for the caster kit. Looks pretty solid thus far. Pics/review soon...

SKB. I won't buy another Gator 'cause the latches remain on the main rack when the lids are removed and they can rattle.

they can...but they don't

all three of mine did. never had a problem once i switched to SKB's or ATA type cases (with the latches on the lids).

anyone know if the latches on the carvin ones are on the case or on the lids? From photos it looks like theyre on the cases, which would seem unfortunate as theyre a great deal.
