ran into my ex today. . .

in a civilized manner and even flirting a bit.

Mistake number one right there. The only conversation you should be having with her should start something like this.

"Why do you still have your clothes on?"

No discussion of what you were, or who you are now. Who cares. Tap it and move on. If she's completely psycho tap it and move sideways while changing your number.

yes, but lots changes over time.

True. And that usually means that someone is left in the dust....just sayin.

Think of all the dudes that have hit it between the time that you broke up and the time that you will be potentially hitting it again. If that doesn't bother you than you are good, but I'm willing to bet that if it hasn't been a topic of conversation...it will be and it is usually ended by "that's none of your business".

Sure it's easy because you've been there, done that....maybe you know more now than you knew then which could be a good thing but I'd suggest keeping it casual (make sure you wrap it up). Pursuing a relationship has disaster spelled all over it.

Take it all with a grain of salt...I could be wrong...I'm not in your shoes.

i have no expectations relationship or otherwise. we were close friends before we dated and we broke up with no hate. she had some unresolved issues with her ex (before me) that resulted in our break up. she seems to have regained sanity. but i don't know for sure.

That's cool...do your thing man...you seem to have a good grasp (:ninja:) on the situation...;)

How's this for awkward...

I came home from work today to find a note taped to my front door from the mother of my ex's current boyfriend. Apparently she saw me in the store the other day and now wants to "meet up" this weekend.

Um... no.
