Yeah, Im not usually one to go to big venue shows, but Tool doesnt tour often, or in the smaller venues.

Yeah, tickets went on sale at 10am today for the Reno, Nv and San Fran shows. Both sold out immediately, but are all over the resale sites. Theres another date added for SF, but tickets arent on sale yet.

The actual solution is some type of car autopilot that could be retrofitted to both car and roadway cheap enough to make it practical to do.
If you only did it on controlled access roads think of the time, fuel, and lives it would save.

Actually I think in 25 or 30 years there will be flying cars but the occupants will only be passengers and there will be no pilots. Their will be a flight management autopilot that gets it's data stream from satellites and will take you from point A to point B safely. It will be programed to avoid other air traffic, bad weather and the such. If you take the human error out of the operation the system could work quite well.
Probably for the most part. However, we can only remove the human aspect of any operating system to a degree.
These systems, at least in our current state, would be designed and implemented by humans, and errors are certainly going to occur.
There will be accidents. It may be possible that the number of fatalities will decrease from our current system, but that would take years of testing and statistical work to figure out.
Over time Im sure most bugs would get worked out, but our human condition will always find flaws with the current system, and try and improve upon things.

Like anything designed and engineered by humans there would be an evolution of the system correcting the earlier mistakes and over sights. A good example of that is most FAA rules and regulations have been written with the blood of some poor souls from an earlier nasty incident.
Indeed. Though, that isnt reason enough not to look into the possibility of implementing such a system.
Im sure many people thought similarly about Interstate freeways, and our traffic laws have been written and rewritten with the same blood.
The pain in my chest is really starting to bother me. And so is the mole on my back that didn't used to be there and is the size of a nickel now. But the sun is out and my cat is happy. All is good.
