The video DOESN'T lie. I agree with that. Then please explain why the SUV driver hasn't been charged with attempted vehicular homicide.
Clearly, he was attempting to kill the biker caught under his wheels.
If I were driving a 5000-pound vehicle and purposely ran over a motorcyclist, I would presume he would be dead. Anyone care to dispute that?
edit: and i think the biker that was run-over was not the same individual who did the "brake-check".
I would surmise that it's probably because the video shows the driver was in reasonable enough jeopardy to justify his actions as self defense. You're right, the victim of the driver is a different member of the group than the one who caused the initial accident. It's hard to say how involved he was with the actual attack on the SUV, but again that's something the courts will have to decide. The driver may get some sort of sentence, but I'd think it would be significantly less than what the gang members receive.
