rare, medium, well

Medium rare. But if it's undercooked, I never send it back. I like poking it with my fork and watching it twitch.

If you go into a steakhouse and ask for well done, they WILL give you a lesser cut of beef, since you won't be able to tell the difference anyways.

I don't mind the blood on my plate, but for some reason it's kind of gross when it mixes with the mashed potaties.

If I'm in the US I'll eat rare.

Abroad, including Canada and Mexico, well done only. Can't be too careful.

Yep, and only good places in the US. Otherwise I get the fish, or maybe the chicken, or even the tofu. I do not like well done at all. I agree with the blood guy, it really does taste good.

Medium rare, unless it's sushi-grade tuna, then DON'T RUIN IT BY COOKING IT! :D

You're right about the tuna. Don't even bother putting on the counter next to the oven.

As a reformed vegan of 6+ years, I'd like to happily report rare or medium rare. I don't tend to go to dicey places for carnivorous purposes so I have no stress. Around here, I go to a german butcher shop known for the quality of their meat and hand made sausage.

I like it medium...but just about every place you go to overcooks steak by one notch. I order medium rare, and I get medium 95% of the time. On that occasion that I actually get it medium rare, I just deal with it...it's still better than overcooked.

BTW: Outback is one of the places that actually cooks things to proper doneness.
