rare, medium, well

how do yall like your beef cooked? something like a ny strip or ribeye. for me its got to be rare to medium rare. now i only buy certified red or black angus. i find older people like theirs well done almost to the point of why dont you just eat the paper it came in. just thought i would ask.

If I'm certain of where the beef came from, I like it medium rare. If I'm not certain of the quality, I take it medium, 'cause I don't wanna be a mad cow. :)

That reminds me...Husband bought some filets, lovely ones, and there are two left. Gonna grill 'em this week!

Cherie :-)

I order medium rare at a restaurant, as that is usually as rare as they can legally cook beef. An older relative once suggested that I like my burgers and steaks like he likes his women: barely legal.

When I'm home, I'll prepare my beef a notch rarer.

Pink on the inside, dunno what the correct word is.
It varies from place to place, but typically means around Medium Rare.

Heh, that's what my dad does. He doesn't order rare, medium, whatever. He asks for whatever makes it pink on the inside.

Oh, and blue is disgusting. You monsters should be ashamed.
