Rare recordings of Jaco!

I'm glad to hear that you enjoy the recordings,
always nice to make a fellow Jaco-fan happy.

The recorders of the shows deserve huge thanks.


And to everyone: It would be nice to hear some
of your reviews of the recordings when you're
done downloading them, preferably as detailed
as possible. Some goods news is that I've only
gotten started! I will upload even more recordings
from my collection :)

Due to some error, two of the tracks are unnamed.
They only say track 9. The smallest one is an Improvisation over Dolores( from Berliner Jazztage, 1979), and the other one is from the Shadows & Light-tour with Joni Mitchell in 1979.


A video from Berliner Jazztage can be found on youtube,
but I thought you would like to have it on sound only
as well.

Im lookin forward to listen to this! Thanks for the effort.

Im one of those who thinks that playing solo over changes was not what Jaco did best, so this will be interesting. A normal "changes" jaco solo was to often only a couple of licks, boom bam boom bam, some harmonics and..

Just listened to it once, no chance to study it as of yet. I have been doing a once over of stuff you provided, plus about another 40 hours off the jazzfusiontv site.
Some good recordings, and some dogs in the bunch, but overall, a wealth of Jaco stuff I have not heard before. It is going to take some time to go through.

I thought I had included this gig in my first upload
with Jaco & Pat, but appearantly missed it.
Jaco NEVER disappointed in his earlier years, and
his soloing and overall playing was always fresh.

Pay extra close attention to Jaco's solo
on "All The Things You Are", it'll blow your mind.

My next upload will be a duo-gig with
Eddie Gomez and flutist Jeremy Steig
for all you double-bass freaks.

I will post it on the double bass-forum,
as it is more appropriate(?)

But don't worry more Jaco stuff is
on the way from my collection ;)
