Rare recordings of Jaco!

Okay, so for any Mac users needing a conversion program try mpeg streamclip. Free to download. Worked almost instantly with the files so generously provided by jazzomaniac.
Thank you Jazzomaniac, I have most of the DVDs out there with Jaco... and that has to be the most amazing video of Jaco taking solo's that I have ever seen I just wish the video and audio quality was better. I'd pay for it!

I too wish that the video- and
audio-quality was better, but
luckily it is still good enough to
hear what's going on in his playing.
Have you seen the Trilogue-DVD ?
If not, I've uploaded that too.
YES...I have the DVD of Trilogue (it is excellent video and audio).
I wish there was a decent DVD of Jaco with Pat and Bob Moses
...and I dug how you stated (that continuous "Jaco-flow" he's so famous for) in another thread..."Jaco-flow" ...that's what it is, don't know of any other player that pulls that off the way Jaco does...just amazing

Pat/Jaco/Moses available, but just
because there isn't one at the moment
doesn't mean that there won't surface
one eventually. I've discovered many
Jaco-bootlegs over the last few years that
I never knew existed. And there are people
who possess recordings and footage of
Jaco( Bob Bobbing for instance) that haven't
even been put in a trade-curcuit. Hopefully
even more of those documents will be at
least semi-available to Jaco's fans.
And I'm glad you agreed about Jaco's continuous
flow. There are quite a few bassists today who
can match his speed, and on occasion match his
flow. But I've only heard a handful who can
convey their emotions like Jaco could, and at
the same time come up all those brilliant ideas
In both the supportive and soloing aspects.
But that is of course among the well known players.
I'm sure there are other bassists out there who
can do what Jaco did, but for some reason(s) aren't
famous. It would be naive do think otherwise.

I just blocked access to the link that contains the Trilogue-DVD.
I've known for some time that it is available as an official release, so it's not right to
leave it up anymore. Anyway, even those of you who have downloaded the bootleg should
definitely but the official DVD. It is neatly packaged, has some really interesting liner-notes,
the overall footage/audio-quality is much better than my bootleg-version and most importantly
you support the artists!
