The seller should know what a jack plate is and if they didn't they would have asked to clarify so they can send you the pictures you need it's a hard pass for me.

That *is* pretty good! They were so happy with the job they did on the body that they must've gotten lazy when it came time for the headstock.

*edit Just looked on the Southside site and saw the bass. They’re a legit shop. I’d call and speak to someone in person about the bass.

$6000? its not worth that. If it had checkerboard binding and full inlays it would be. I had a late 73 and it didnt sound like I remembered my 72.

They did have wavy Grover copies available, but a lot of them did have those shonky generic tuners.

Yeah, they really screwed up the lower cutaway, and the control locations, too

Looks real to me. Most fakes I've seen get the body shape at least slightly wrong.

the body shape has changed through the years , so that’s not really a great indicator.

Going by the seller's last comment I would probably not consider buying this bass. Could be stolen. What is the asking price?

Pictures = real rickenbacker
What the seller actually has in hand = fake rickenbacker, possibly no rickenbacker, possibly not even local
