Patiently Waiting For The Next British Invasion
The seller should know what a jack plate is and if they didn't they would have asked to clarify so they can send you the pictures you need it's a hard pass for me.

Here's a short video of an exchange between a customer and salesperson at Southside Guitars:Are you messaging someone who works at Southside Guitars in Brooklyn? That appears to be the backdrop they use in all their postings. If so, they’re legit. I’d call them.
That *is* pretty good! They were so happy with the job they did on the body that they must've gotten lazy when it came time for the headstock. This one I had was pretty accurate (the tuners being the dead giveaway!).

The answer was legitimate, as the bass has no inputs...
$6000? its not worth that. If it had checkerboard binding and full inlays it would be. I had a late 73 and it didnt sound like I remembered my 72.Are you messaging someone who works at Southside Guitars in Brooklyn? That appears to be the backdrop they use in all their postings. *edit Just looked on the Southside site and saw the bass. They’re a legit shop. I’d call and speak to someone in person about the bass.
They did have wavy Grover copies available, but a lot of them did have those shonky generic tuners. That *is* pretty good! They were so happy with the job they did on the body that they must've gotten lazy when it came time for the headstock.

Better yet, you are coincidentally moving there yourself tomorrow. Whats the address. Be there at noon.Tell the guy you have a friend in Houston that wants to come look at it. Ask him what part of town he lives in now. I'm intrigued
Looks real to me. Most fakes I've seen get the body shape at least slightly wrong.
I'd love a massage, too.
Going by the seller's last comment I would probably not consider buying this bass. Could be stolen. What is the asking price?
I know him! He calls me all the time, but I’m just never home.Scam Likely!
