Real Rules Of Zombie

Sound suppressors make any weapon far less accurate. It's why snipers in the armed forces don't use them. Ammo will be an issue eventually. As will a dirty weapon.

Gimme some light chain mail or hardened leather armor and a honest to goodness Katana. All I need is a whet stone and mobility. The weapon is quiet, can take off limbs, as well as decapitate.

Large boat. the zombies can't swim, they will drown if you are far enough from shore because the brain has to get oxygen. Make trips to shore in a smaller boat,in small groups for supplies. Ideal location I think would be a large bay so you are protected from rough ocean seas yet far enough out to be protected from zombies. Plus you have multiple choices of where to come ashore.

Oh, but they can swim. Check out Zombie Flesh Eaters.

As long as they were proper shuffling zombies, I reckon I'd cope with an aluminium baseball bat, a nice big SUV with an endless supply of fuel, and go for the holed-up-in-shopping-centre approach.

If they were the powerful, running 28 Days Later/DOTD (remake) zombies, nothing but heavy artillery please.

I find these discussions funny, as if we'll actually ever face a zombie apocalypse. I won't rule it out entirely, biochemical weaponry is a real threat, but I think we're more likely to face an outbreak of the Captain Trips variety. Certain Death. Its almost a Romantic idea that we would remain, even if only as reanimated corpses, after our passing.

they can not swim.....they would drown.....as far as sharks turning into zombies.......the virus that effects humans may or may not effect fish. This situation is completely hypothetical, the only info given is that there are zombies........we fill in the rest of the blanks? fine.....they cant swim, the virus doesn't effect animals (except maybe primates). With soooo much being hypothetical and no facts to be sure of I can say that if a zombie outbreak would occur I would grab my proton pack, jump on my pegasus, land at the end of a rainbow, take the gold from the leprechaun, show jason vorhees and freddy krueger that the zombies are stealing their glory, then fly to a remote island where tom hanks, a volleyball named wilson and ginger and maryann are.......sally field back in her gidget years can come too

They can swim. I've SEEN it.

To think that a reanimated brain would need oxygen to survive is foolish...
How would they be able to crawl out of graves if they needed O2 to survive?
We're not talking normal human biology here.

Well, if the zombies are coming out from graves, most will have been in the ground for many months meaning that the brain would have completely rotted, along with most of the muscle and other soft tissue, meaning they wouldn't be able to come after you.

Really, the main place they would come from would be mortuaries and crematoriums, so my rule would be to stay away from them.

Also, avoid heavily built up areas=more zombies and shorter lines of sight.

they are not re animated dead.....they are infected living.......if they were re animated dead that would be supernatural. In that case you have no chance without saying the 3 words prior to grabing the book. they are living humans which are brain dead to the point that all higher brain function has ceased but survival instincts are present. That's why a stab or shot to the brain kills them......If they were re animated dead you couldn't kill them

Infected living qare not zombies. Theyre just sick people who want to eat your brains.

You guys dont know nothing with all youre media who-doo...

so these are not the zombies that COULD possibly one day be here......these are the zombies from night of the living dead? As in Thriller video? Army of darkness?.....If that's the case all you need is a midget to drop a gold ring into a volcano and a blue genie says mecha lecka hi mecha hinee ho......then we are all safe

Thats ridiculous. As if quick moving Rage virus infected peoples are any more of a reality than zombies rising from the grave?

Ever read Stephen King's 'The Stand'? Those in their final days/hours dying of Captain Trips are closer to any other 'zombies' portrayed in the media we'd be likely to see.
Slow moving, suffering, trying to hold on to any semblance of life, spitting up infection until their final breath types, thats what we're likely to see. As if our heads rotting away from the inside are going to allow for quick movement...

No suppressor will increase accuracy, but the good ones don't significantly harm accuracy. They're also not cheap and require additional maintenance.

Snipers are usually far enough away that there's not a huge need and the ammo is supersonic. Without subsonic ammo, the ballistic crack is about as loud as the muzzle.
