Real Rules Of Zombie

what happens when the vampires who sparkle in sunlight are everywhere? Or when the Mayan calendar says the world will end but the milk in your fridge has an expiration date past then? Who will be in the pumkin patch with Linus this Halloween waiting for the great pumpkin? Santa will get zombies to pull his sleigh because they require less maintenence than flying reindeer.

Now i have to read "The Stand" ... or will the miniseries give me the overall jist of the story?

Do yourself a HUGE favor and read the book. First.
THEN, go watch the miniseries and laugh.

For REAL. The book was amazing. The show?...well the book was amazing.

What you really should read is World War Z. They have to make a movie out of that thing! I went on a zombie book kick a few months back. Most were okay for killing time. A few were good enough to read again sometime.

World War Z was incredible. If there was anything more unlikely than an actual zombie apocalypse, it was a good book based on one. WWZ is that book. It's also the only time I've seen an eventual positive outcome (well mostly) from a zombie apocalypse scenario. And the zombies don't 'swim'. But the oceans are full of them. Submarines that go too deep get them all over their hulls, trying to get in.

Psst, they are. It might be in post production right now.

Squee.

As far as weapons to have, the one I want to have and would seriously make use of in a zombie apocalypse situation, is one from a book I read. One of the characters needed and ceremonial but useable blade of some kind. She was from Earth, so the bladesmith recommend one he'd made entirely from items from Earth. A wakizashi with a katana-length hilt. The blade was damascus made from the barrels of an old sisde by side shotgun. The hilt quilted maple from an old piece of furniture.

I know the piece in question was from fiction and doesn't actually exist. But so far, neither do zombies. So fair is fair.

I'd really like to have a piece like her wakizashi. I'm pretty sure it would be awesome and look it too.

You wanna go to the city and bring some stuff back with a Shane?

I don't think so.;)

The stuff will get back to the group. Not gonna lie but before I saw that happen I was thinking "you know...one of them might have to be bait to escape...and it ain't gonna be the dude that's incredibly cold hearted and selfish." Then it happened and basically it didn't bother me at all because I'da done it too. :P

'tsall I'm sayin'

A silenced .22 is still fairly loud.

Depends on how you look at it. It won't be like the gentle "pew" "pew" from Hollywood mythology, but it's not going to be ear-splitting either. Supersonic vs subsonic also comes into play.
It would be a universe quieter than a 30/30 or something like that. From a short distance away you might be hard-pressed to tell where it's coming from - good trait when in a zombie apocalypse :)
