AS this is connected, somewhat, to The Walking Dead I'll not be su-prized if it's bumped over.

However to the crux of the matter. It's the Zombie apocalypse, and no I don't mean encores calling for Mustang Girl or Brown Eyed Sally, the 'real' thing. Now aside from my ever pertinent question of 'Why do only the stupid people survive the outbreak, then learn?'

What KEY rules are you taking with you? Points can be awarded for cold, hard decisions if you'd like, they'll also be removed for bad movie quotations, like Double tap, but here's the first

1: NO KIDS, EVER. look at how many risky, stupid, and occasionally terminal situations have been caused by Rattus Ruggus in just the Walking Dead alone.

You? :D

As from the walking dead thread:

A silenced .22 is the best weapon. All you have to do eliminate their brain function, so the quiet operation, easy carry for ammo, and fairly light weapons means it wont get to heavy.

This!

I even went as far as "spec'ing out" a carbine based on the AR platform with a large capacity drum magazine and a nice sight.
Add the sound suppressor and you are a zombie killing machine.

If the zombies were actually the animated dead. The best weapon would be time.
The brain starts to liquify after a couple of days, severing the connection between the senses and the motor system. It is totally decomposed in about a month at the most, thus ending every scrap of brain function.

Kick back, hide out for about a fortnight to be on the safe side, job done. Not very entertaining, I know, but there it is (which is why films etc. bend biology to drive the story along).

Large boat. the zombies can't swim, they will drown if you are far enough from shore because the brain has to get oxygen. Make trips to shore in a smaller boat,in small groups for supplies. Ideal location I think would be a large bay so you are protected from rough ocean seas yet far enough out to be protected from zombies. Plus you have multiple choices of where to come ashore.

But what happens if sharks eat the zombies in the water? Now you have to sail across zombie-shark infested waters to get your supplies......

No sir. I don't like it.
