Really?

Those "Fender Fender Electric Base" basses are extremely rare. Perhaps that justifies the price.
I own one. I love it. But........

I also "own" (many) WAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY more RARE basses.

As much as I love My Jaguar, this seems WAY OUT OF LINE.

You haven't spent much time on Ebay, have you?

There are (and always have been) people trying to rip off others. There are people on that site who don't even BUY basses until they SELL them. In ither words, they place a bunch of auctions with ridiculous prices. Let's say one of them is a $400 bass priced at $800. If some dipstick biys it they order it and then ship it to their buyer.

The point is, it's nithing to get mad about. Just don't buy this idiot's bass.

The seller is in Japan, that's the reason the price is out of line.

Exactly so... look at all the $4,000 Ricks for sale on eBay. They're all from sellers in Japan, too... Pretty much everything from Japanese seller's is priced way too high these days. Still... you won't get that much, if you don't ask...
