Someone had the Gibson Explorer-ish-looking version of the Dean Dimebag bass on Reverb a couple of months ago, in like a radiation green metallic finish. Apparently it had been gifted to/played in concert by the bassist from Gwar...think it was listed at about $20, 000...

Except the Les Paul guitar (And bass) aren't actually Les Paul designs. They're more like tributes to a great guitarist and utilize some clever (for their time... long loooooong ago) designs.

Personally? I'm holding out for the Rudy Sarzo Signature Flutophone. Makes about as much sense.

There could be a John Entwistle signature French Horn - he was a pretty decent horn player after all (his french horn playing, crazy missed note and all, is in Substitute, if I recall).
