For a while I have started threads about my decline in GAS. I can now say that there are exactly two factors behind that decline. The first is that, like a lot of people, I am not as flush financially as I was a few years ago. Losing access to $400-$600 dollars of "fun money" every month has really shut down impulse purchases. The other change is that I have just honestly assessed my playing, and $100 of lessons would do me a great deal of good, another bass would just be a spare or change of pace for me to do the same old thing.

The up side is that I feel a level of peace with my gear that I don't think I have ever felt before in my life.:)
