Recieved bad bass on ebay, what should I do?

Thats awsome warriorjoe! I appreciate that. I jammed with the jazz at practice last night and i was impressed. The bass plays awsome,feels good in my hands, and has no dead spots on the neck, my major concern and my band actually complimented me on my tone. It was even strung with brand new strings from the seller. Now i only got a chance to hear the neck pup so im really stoked to get the bridge one working!

However, please do not threaten people. That includes both real life and eBay... IF you really must do it, please exhaust all other alternatives before going down that road. If you don't, the chances are it would backfire and you could end up being worse off.

Threatening negative feedback isn't ethical, but it's ok so sell a bass with non-working electronics, major damage and 7 years older than represented? Give what you get.

The new rules at Ebay make it virtually impossible to use feedback threats as a bargaining/negotiating tool :scowl:
I regularly buy and sell basses on ebay, and one thing I very much hate to do is threaten bad feedback. But sometimes...you gotta do what you gotta do. If it's that bad, then get out your feedback leverage.

Have you heard of anything called "benefit of the doubt"? Being nice always paid off for me, you can do whatever feels right to you. What's wrong with resorting negative feedback threats AFTER you run out of every other options? In this case, OP benefited from being understanding as well and he is happy. At first, I also thought the seller consciously misleaded the buyer and commented as such; until I heard that missing chunks were in the box.
I just hope I would never have to deal with you, ever. I sensed the negativity and tried to be friendly about it with innocent lecture jokes, but you kept pushing it dude. Get what you give.
