I bought my Medium one when i got my bass online (There is no such thing as Lakland in Australia apparently) an was surprised about how high it comes up.
Thats a good thing for me. As I said, I play super high, so the higher, the better.

Youre missing my point. I need a strap that isnt too gaudy, but can reach my height requirements. I play very high up.
I play fairly high and use 4" leather straps from http://www.italiastraps.com/

best $30.00 i have ever spent
My Comfort Strapp is nice. Very comfortable but I do need to lengthen the back and shorten the front for my taste to put the padded part over my shoulder better. YEMV. It has just enough but not too much spring in it. It is by far the most comfy without being gaudy.

How high can it go? He plays with his bass about a foot and a half higher than you do....
Looks like a sweet strap though.
I had the same problem so I reversed the way I attach it to the bass thereby putting more of the comfort part on my shoulder
