anyone have thoughts on the markbass little mark tube amp?

I really like their stuff..

i do too, but i wouldn't call an amp with a preamp tube or two a "tube amp." it has to have power tubes to qualify.

anyway, this business about ampeg being a one sound kind of amp all got started a few years ago by internet know-nothings who saw mostly rock players using them and decided they were only good for one sound. so the idea of there being only one "ampeg sound" actually comes from dumb people with no idea how to move knobs.

'71 V4 into a '73 V4 cab - $1000 (after loading the cab with Eminence 2512's)

'70 Sunn 200S into a EV-TL606 - $525

I've since replaced the original EV-15B speaker with an Eminence 3015... I don't really consider it an upgrade, although my back certainly does!!

As coreyfyfe states, be prepared to spend some on maintenance... I don't figure that into the purchase cost, but as more of an 'operating' expense
