All the DCMs are good amps.Get an 8 ohm Avatar and bridge the DCM600 and the 450 watts should drive it fine.That way you can still add another 8 ohm cabinet later if you want.

Recommendation for Power Amp

I've used a PLX 1202, a Carvin DCM 1000, a QSC USA 850, a EV dynacord, and to tell the truth, they all sound pretty much the same to me.
i have a dcm 1000 and its freakin loud... i was clipping my 2 epi ul 122's but was runnin it stereo instead of bridged 
they are cheap, clean, loud and light... 22ish i think.

Most of their cabinets seem well-loved here on TB and i'm considering ordering a 1x15 & 2x12 or 3x10 stack soon (from the BL series, the RX might work for you tho) and the prices are competitive. One downside is that I've heard it can take a little while to get your cabs as they seem to be built to order. They're very communicative though. Best of luck!

I have owned a PLX 2402 and a Crown XTI 4000 - I can't tell the difference in sound. Even at Guitar Center, I tried out four different brands and they ALL sounded the same!
Webtroll - Crown XTI Sterile sounding? when compared to your SVT - oh yea! Big difference in sound between those two.

Stupid ? but I have always used heads or combos. How do you bridge? Is it just a "Y" cable or something?

Some amps use a Y cable, some use a jumper across internal or external connector points, and some have a system where all you do is push a button.
