Just a few recent purchases...

Robbie Robertson - How to become clairvoyant
The Band - Moondog Matinee
Elvis Costello - Spike
Dangermouse, Daniel Luppi, Jack White & Norah Jones - Rome
Johnny Cash - American IV: The Man Comes Around
The Pixies - Doolittle

Cold Fact - Sixto Rodriguez (1970):bassist:

Rodriguez was critically acclaimed in the States (He is from Detroit) but never sold. He gained a following in South Africa and Australia, I believe.

The story of his life is the story of a brilliant musician that just din't make it. He has been described as the "undiscovered Bob Dylan"

I discovered him as a result of the documentary "Searching for Sugarman"

My Bloody Valentine - MBV

I also picked up about 40 vinyl albums spanning from the '60s to the '90s from my aunt and cousins a couple of weeks ago.

Weezer's first album? I haven't put that on in a while - used to love that album. Pinkerton, too. Wasn't so keen on where they went after that.

Anyway, my most recent acquisitions were the Bishops' self-titled debut album and Sojourn EP, which I picked up at one of their gigs. I've been particularly impressed with Sojourn - proof that indie-rock can actually be interesting for more than one song, especially if the band is brave enough to experiment with dense vocal harmonies and odd-meter time signatures!

A bit of acoustic guitar jazz as well: if anyone's looking for a mellow but musically riveting album they could do a lot worse than Throop,by John Stowell and Ulf Bandgren.

Hmmm.......I just bought a few songs off of iTunes.

Heaven Nor Hell- Volbeat
How I Got To Be This Way- Justin Moore
Wanna Talk About Me- Toby Keith
Let There Be Cowgirls- Chris Cagle
Honky Tonk Badonkadonk- Trace Adkins

A couple others.

All of them, except Volbeat, are songs we are doing or are working on. I needed the recordings to study.

I just really like that Volbeat song.

My last music purchase was Joe Jackson's "Beat Crazy" on iTunes last month. Next? I've got my eye on the Roxy Music box set.
Great Joe Jackson album. For a long time that one was not available, glad to know it's back.

I'm constantly buying albums, some recent purchases include:
"Night Visions" - Imagine Dragons
"The Story" - Brandi Carlile
"25 Aniversario" - Caifanes
"Idea" - Bee Gees
"Bad Out of Hell" - Meat Loaf
and next Tuesday I should have David Bowie's "The Next Day" in my hands.
