REDDI Tube DI Mega-thread-III

A Design is also coming out with a new DI preamp.. It has TONS of Gain if you want to drive a power amp. I saw a few photos from the AES show.. I posted photo that i have of eth prototype .. Its the KGB... Keyboard, Guitar Bass DI... I never saw the one with the EQ.. But Im thinking it will be a great device too.. All with those incredible custom Cinemag transformers.

What's the size?

The prototype that i have is abut 7x7x2.. W x D x H Not sure what the actual finished product will be, ,but the photos seem to be smaller....
Awesome...Very cool.
Of course amps are not going away but I said this before high end DIs with EQ possibilities are going to become more popular and more amps less production based touring in the future.

Does the Reddi have any "natural" compression happening via the tube or components?
To my ears, it's probably the very least compressed-sounding DI I've used. Does that mean it doesn't have any going on? Probably not ;) as I've been told all tube amps have natural compression, and the REDDI is basically a tube amp in DI form. But I don't hear it that way.

I dont detect compression... Its very dynamic and has more headroom than any DI that i have ever used... You can put a compressor inline after it if you wanted too do some compression though.... I use a BAC500 series 500 Copmpressor at times. But to me the REDDI is headroom city...

Hey guys with deep regret I'm selling my new Reddi and a new waterproof Gator case for 700.00 plus actual shipping. Only because of sickness and unforeseen financial reasons. It's about 3 weeks old and new. If your reading this you know with the cSe and all and it new this is an amazing deal.
Sorry to hear that, bro. I know you really flipped over it. Hope it works out you can get another one sometime soon.

Hey guys, just a heads up, I have an EM Silver preamp for sale in the classifieds. Doesn't seem to be much interest in the post, maybe my price is too high?

Anyway, it's an absolutely killer frontend after the reddi (I have both). I tried a whole slew of pres all in a row with my bass + reddi, and the silver and the electrodyne 501 were my favorites.
