REDDI Tube DI Mega-thread-III

I have the KGB prototype. I was named the G spot at the time.. Its like the Blue one that you are holding. Its amazing SS preamp.. TOns of Gain. Punchy as all heck..
The one with EQ is what steve has.. Either way . you will be very happy.. I need to possibly the the one with EQ some day..
I have the Grey one and I decided against the pedal board format and instead leave it for my home studio.
It took up more then a 1/3 of my pedalboard.

I wasn't even aware that the KGB series existed until now. I need to pay more attention to these things.

What I'd really like to do is Y-split my REDDI output, with one leg going directly into a power amp (no EQ is needed, IME). I am under the impression that the REDDI isn't hot enough to do that. What is a guy to do?

He better not stop posting after this ha!... I am curious if he actually bought an SVT7PRO ;) To keep this REDDI themed, I have also used an 18 gauge cable with the 2 I had several times and it worked flawlessly. I had to sell them, but I'll be grabbing another in the not too distant future. I still haven't found anything that comes close to the REDDI sonically. Its got some magic.

Just got my REDDI and did my first recorded rehearsal with it on thurs PM, and MAN! It's as flat as flat can be, tone-wise. No boosts or cuts to my ears, but the "Feel" and the ability to really "dig in" for some dynamics really let me "pop-out" in the mix. I was blown away, and the other guys thought I was just "nailing it"!
I went out today and picked up a case from Harbor Freight ($29.99), and me, my G5N and DJ5 are now lovin' life!
Thank you REDDI!

"Glad" you're able to "make it work."

:D

What case did you get? Got a link to it?

It's got "pluck & pull" foam, which is cool. (Keeping the "-------------" thing going...)
I used the top "foam" as an added layer underneath the "P&P", which worked out great.
Will probably spray adhesive the two together eventually, and I have seen where you can apply "Plasti-Dip" to the "P&P" and get a more "permanent/rigid" config, which I will probably do as well after I iron out what else I can put in this case to streamline my setup!

Oh, as an FYI, I had some spare foam laying around so I cut it and added it back to the lid.
It's 1.375" D, and it creates a nice "cushion" around the REDDI, and doesn't let it slip or slide around when you move, carry, drop it.
I'm sure that when I "plasti-dip" the entire foam setup, it wont move anyway, but what the hell.

That is a cool case. You could add cables and other doodads in that box, tio.
