That pin 1 lift is cool - great suggestion. I'm definitely picking one up.

So the pin lift goes on the DI out channel? How will that solve his thru to amp issue?

overbybr: The loop happens when there are two (or more) paths to ground. Pin 1 connects chassis to ground, so this breaks one of those paths.

That should be solved by the ground lift on the REDDI, which breaks one of the connections.

Yes, and a lot of the time it's solved by that, but there are stubborn cases where it isn't. Seems to happen most often when I use a tube amp. Maybe some sort of transformer interplay going on?

I was just last-second outbid on ***y in a reddi auction. I am legitimately a bit heartbroken on this one. It was a steal of a price. Losing the auction has just made me want one even more.

yeah, i'm pretty sure that's what the other bidder used.

Back in my days of eBay addiction I sniped many dozens of auctions manually. All you need is a watch with a second hand. Bids usually take 2-4 seconds to process on a cable connection. A maximum you're willing to pay bid with 3-4 seconds left to go will win more often than not. Other than maybe an early feeler never bid before that last second all or nothing one. Best to leave the competition complacent and bidding low.

I snagged a REDDI in the classifieds a month or so ago. It's as awesome as people say. My in-ear mix has never sounded so good, and I'm not even using an amp. I'm told it sounds better in the house too, but I haven't really gotten to hear it with a band.

Do yourself a favor...run out into FOH sometime in the near future. It REALLY makes a difference compared to other DI's.

In the studio do you run the compressor before or after the reddi? ...if you use comp at all.

^ i run my REDDI into the BAC500 compressor... I always run my REDDI first.... Well actually my Peterson tuner first, then the REDDI.
