This past summer some rich people from Colorado saw our little Connecticut bar band play at one of these town festival deals (Ellington CT? I don't remember) and decided we were the bee's knees. They own what looks to me like a dude ranch in Ourley, CO. They're holding a blues festival and are flying us out to play at it. Even though we're not actually a blues band. Even though they are obviously a little bit nuts. Aug 3-4.

Hi Bunky!

Wow! That sounds exciting! Is the client making all the arrangements for the sound company and back line, etc? It can be logistically complex. The sound company will need your stage plot. Hopefully all you'll have to do is walk on stage, plug in, and play. I wish you were a little closer so I could try and catch your show. I'm looking forward to that gig report. ;)

Thank you for your indulgence,

All that is yet to be determined. We're just beginning to grapple with logistics.

Ouray is beautiful; right near Silverton, Durango and home of the ice climbing world championships for a while. Plus you don't have to drive the pass in a blizzard. (you'll know what I mean when you drive it).

Outstanding! It should be a great experience.

/\ What Cliff said goes for me too!

Heck, let's shoot for an afternoon with Redhead, True Willie, The Goat Hill Gamblers, Fab 8 and The Midnight Confessions. That would be awesome in so many ways.

Hi,

I like the way you think!

That’s certainly a musical lineup that would make everyone happy... and the hang would be incredible.

That would be an awesome lineup to be part of!

Any TBers out there who want to be a promoter? :D

Wowsers! Great idea. Great idea, regardless of venue. I'm a bit overwhelmed at the moment...who wants to start the gofundme page? :-)
