Okay, here we go. After all the buildup, jeez...
Sign at the entrance to CC Blue. It's true. We played in the white tent at left.
Our wonderful hosts, Cindy and Matt, show off their new band merch.
Jane having fun at soundcheck.
Solar Bob and Dr. B check out the house pooltable.
Dr. B had a rough weekend. Lost his voice, suffered nosebleeds, but soldiered on anyway.
I could get used to this laid-back lifestyle.
We took Saturday off to visit fabulous Ouray (pronounced "Youray") with our buddies --originally from Hartford, now in Denver--Jamie and Wendi. They jammed with us, and Wendi gave needed vocal support with Dr. B's voice out of commission.
Band lunch in Ouray. Queen Jane and her Court.
Getting down to business.
Nobody noticed the black light at the front of the stage, which turned everything bluish purple. So here's a B&W shot with Wendi helping out.
Dancers. Why we came.
Album cover #1
Album cover #2. Jane accosted a total stranger in Ouray who took several shots.
Heading home, 4 am, radio tuned to PBS Native American station...
Back in Grand Junction, time to get on board.
All six of us in row 10...we flew from Grand Junction, to Phoenix, to Chicago, to Hartford. I think this was on the Phoenix-Chicago leg. Drummy had a very good time.
There are hundreds more images on facebook, I may grab some more. In the meantime, our fans at home think we are actual rockstars now, which of course we are not, but if it works for them...
We got back home...and American lost Jane's and Dr. B's luggage. Back to reality. Side note: At Hartford the TSA wanted to see my wireless rig. Unfortunately, they did not return the power supply or the cord that connects the guitar transmitter. I was so eager to get away from those guys that I never even thought about taking inventory. I've filed a complaint, but the stuff is probably long gone by now.
Regardless, as you can see, we had a hell of a good time.
