Redstar Cabinets

Another thing-- it is against TB rules to have more than one user account. I'm curious what bad feedback or other reason you had for making a new account.

Frankly Redstar deserves better. If you want to help them, give a real review with some real information and some real background on the basis for your opinions.

Well, there's a lot of good info about the interior bracing (cool and useful to see/know), but no reviews at all in that thread.

Funny thing is he talks in that thread about people in bass forums busting his chops over technical stuff, yet he didn't (to my recollection) share any of the photos or technical info with us, which would have gone a long way toward shutting up some of the armchair critics (myself included).

Bongo,

I maybe have not played bigger gigs than you but I once ripped a shoe off of David Lee Roth's foot when he was standing at the front of the stage. You should realize that means I know more than you.

Really, kimokeo, if you think your gigs make you a better judge of what a good cab is, then what's going to happen when a bunch of high-profile giggers all start pulling this accreditation and can't even agree with you? ; }

Hit-and-run multiple accounts don't do much for credibility either.

I am a professional player with 35 years experience. I am quite sure I have played bigger gigs than you
The hallmark of any seasoned proffesional player is his ability to boast about how big his gigs are.

Again, bongo, I was not trying to help Redstar. You, like the other guys, are taking things the wrong way.
Given the information at hand (i.e. your first post, admitted multiple user accounts, a blank profile, etc.) bongo's assumption was perfectly valid. Additionally, you've avoided his initial question entirely.

More to the point: Has anyone actually played these cabs? There doesn't seem to be any decent reviews about them, explanations of their voicing, relative volume, etc...???

I'm interested in who the OP has played with that he really thinks has played bigger shows than ANYONE on talkbass.

If you can pull out a good name with some sort of verification, people may be easier on you. As of now, I just took that as a crapshot at trying to gain credibility.

I doubt that you have played bigger shows than JMJ, though...

The OP has posted in other threads since this was posted. He hasn't felt the need to answer here.

Well, there's a lot of good info about the interior bracing (cool and useful to see/know)
The pic I saw there showed lots of bracing at the corner joints, the strongest part of the cab, where bracing adds nothing but unnecessary weight. In the middle of the panels where bracing does the most good it was minimal, with no transverse panel to panel braces at all.
