There's been some talk about duty cycle, thermal stability, etc. with the Class D modules, and I've been meaning to do some more torture testing to find the limits.
Not a real controlled experiment, but a data point FWIW... I just ran an 80 Hz sine tone through the amp for seven minutes straight at a level just below where the clip light comes on, running into the four ohm General Sherman cab. The bottom of the amp started to get warm (not hot) the last couple of minutes. No shutdown or power reduction. I stopped because it was uncomfortably loud (and I don't think the wife and baby want to listen to excruciatingly loud sine tones all night!). I'm very impressed with how cool the amp stayed and it gives me a good feeling as to real world performance/stability. I was more worried about the cab, but it was just fine too.

That Gigskinz bag works well for a Streamliner as well. I'd agree that it's well made, mine's got quite a few miles on it with no issues. Just wish it was transporting the JGR......
yeah, that extra 3db over a 600w amp is just silly

I'm pretty sure 300W would be enough with the reasonable bands, but yeah, you make an excellent point!

Just got faceplate design proofs back - they look great! A couple of minor tweaks and we'll be good to. I'll post the final ones shortly.
I want to know where you found a pair of 10s that can withstand that amp!

I've had a few questions about subbing in a 12ax7 for the stock 12au7 front end to get more dirt. Linked below are a couple of quick clips, one with a 12ax7, the other with the stock 12au7 to give you an idea of what it does. I still prefer the 12au7, but it's cool to be able to sub the 12ax7 should one want more gain.
