Well, I would just replace the strap, but if you want to keep it, you can try step 3 of 3 on this site. It is rumored to work with pet stains as well.

I just used it (today) and it took out the stains, and did neutralize the odor.

Just replace them. Those nylon straps cost pennies, and the Fender strap isn't much more.

Or chuck them in the sink and soak them in water and Oxy-Clean or Woolite or liquid dishwashing detergent.

If they get degraded, return to my first suggestion.

Those straps are both inexpensive enough to toss out. Just buy new ones. First, get rid of the cat, then buy new straps.

Natures Miracle sold at pet stores I use it daily for many uses beyond urine and fecal matter. Good string and pot cleaner. Just foolin . but for the Pee it works great

The total solution calls for a road trip. First stop is the local Chinese restaurant ( drop off the cats.) Second stop is your local music store (buy two new straps.) Third stop is back at the Chinese restaurant to pick up your order of moo goo gai cat.(I'm only half kidding. A couple years ago there were two restaurants caught in my area doing this.)
