Removing MarkBass logo plate from grill?

In love my MB stuff, yellow and all.
Speakers you can see from a distance shows you have a distinctive amp, killer sound. Show it off.
I never had a better performing amp. I'm very proud of it.
Be proud of it. Nobody says anything about the yellow.... Especially when they hear and see those speakers working.

Heck, I even have MB pedals. I know there is better fx, but I love my MarkBass stuff!

I ended up with a Markbass NY121 and Traveler 121 as a loud, easy to shlep mini-stack, but for some silly reason, they Traveler line has the logos sideways. My vanity and/or slight OCD made me place it in line with the NY cab.

This pic was taken when I got the new headcase for my Terror, so that's why the angle is as it is, but you can still see how it ended up

I went yellow recently when buying some shrink tubing for cables.
I will for everything when given an option, just so my rig is themed & if I should ever take it all out of the house, everyone will know which bits are mine.

My 102ps are a couple of years old, and sat in the trailer in Florida summertime for a couple of seasons.
I tried taking the logos off today. It looks like they were attached with some kind of foam-backed double-stick adhesive and it left a lot of residue on the grill. I'll be taking a hair dryer and plastic spatula to it later today.

So, that can happen.

I don't think what happened to yours is unique; mine left a bunch of residue on the grill as well, and I took the logo off up here in Canadia during the middle of February, or so.

Found this thread for similar reason. I think a couple of heads I have been looking at will sit on the side of a 1x12 but not on the top. I'm too OCD to bear a sideways logo, so removal may be a good option.

I don't mind the logo - actually wear it with pride, but did remove the vinyl Alain Caron signature sticker from my AC combo. I'm a huge AC fan (not why I got the amp) but the sticker looks goofy and the signature is also on the head. As somebody said, it's easy enough to reattach at time of sale (unless it's lost).

Looks like you found the one and only other-brand head that coordinates/blends well with MB!

Yeah, there's nothing that says I am not a complete tool like paying for advertising for another mans company. :thumbsup:;):p

Personally I cover up all logos with stickers or remove them, I do not wear clothes with free advertisement either.

Unless we are talking band shirts or similar of course, nothing wrong with supporting artists.

Ha, well the head used to look kinda goofy with those cabs until that custom black case arrived. Before that, it looked like a white lunch pail on top of them! Figured it would blend well with the MBs, and most other backline I may end up using, but didn't bank on it fitting the width of the cab so perfectly... Let's call it serendipity?

EDIT: Should give a shout out, I realize, since the head case for the Orange was made by a fellow TB'er! Look up his work under Decibel Sound Implements, if you're so inclined; he does great stuff.

I always thought the yellow woofers on markbass stuff reminded me too much of modern speakers one would find in a car stereo "boom" / crank / thump contest system much like what companies like kicker, j|l, rockford Fosgate, polk, etc would do with the foam connecting the cone to the frame. Have a specific trademarked color scheme.

They sound great though. Played a bass through a markbass speaker /amp combo in a pawnshop and will consider the brand when i am ready to get something bigger and powerful

I too hate the 1970's trucker looking logo myself. Tacky like the old peavey logo. I too would take it off if I acquired one.
