Yeah, 9/64" sounds right. I haven't tweaked any of mine yet, and I don't know the size offhand. I just know which one fits and I keep it in one of the Turner cases.

FWIW Gang- I sent a message to Willcutt Guitars asking for specs on the new Model T bass. Proportionally, it looks like a short or medium-scale to me, but I'm looking at it on a mobile.
I'll post what I get back...

Not I... looks like a super-nice preamp though. Did you get the Felix 2 ?

I used to have (many-many-many years ago) a Rane AP-13. Why, oh why did I sell it?! Some nonsense about not wanting to carry a rack around anymore.
I was using a DTar Equinox with my Renaissance basses for a while, but once I started using an Acoustic Image amp more, I found it was somewhat redundant. It works out great on my upright bass rig though. That's a great little preamp too, if you can use a parametric equalizer and notch filters. I don't think they made a lot of them, and they aren't making any more that I know of.

I pulled a quick switch on my newgrass/jamband boys this past Saturday night for the set closer, and the Model One bass made its debut with the Harwell-Grice Band. Our fans were well-lubed up by this time of night, so it was pretty rowdy in the taproom at Chaos Mountain Brewing Co. The Model One sounds HUGE when we come in on the hoedown here.
With the long weekend I'll try to figure out how to do sound bites on the computer, my iPhone makes things too compressed, to my ears anyway.
Here are two files of the Model 1 bass with Grace Design Felix...hastily recorded on computer with Audacity...not the greatest recordings (distorting slightly)...still learning how best to use the Felix settings and how to use Audacity and how to record with a computer (I'm from the multi-track tape era, it was SO much easier!)...

Sounds good man. Everything on the bass set about in the middle? Piezo/Mag blend, Parametric bypassed.
I must confess, the one thing about the 'full electronics' on a Model One I haven't been able to find a use for is the coil-tap. I totally get it on my guitar. (recently converted a pair of P-90's on a Les Paul to coil-tapped mini-humbuckers... and blew my mind) I can't imagine needing this function on my bass. Maybe I'll wake up one day and the light of consciousness will be on.
Thanks! Here is a photo of the settings. I used the active EQ to cut a little mids (I think that is what it's doing), as well as the passive roll off a little bit. Magnetic pickup only, no piezo. I have not used the coil tap yet, but at higher volumes it might be useful when a real difference can be heard.
With the Felix I cut a lot of mids, boosted the treble a little, cut some deeper lows with the HP filter to clean it up and added a little mid Q for clarity.

Yummy tone. I really like what I heard here. I'm sure there are a bunch of other tones to come out of that bass but that gave me a good idea of the sound. Thanks for posting!
