I think this was uncalled for.
With a handle like "Cougmeister" I can see why you don't play at church anymore. I don't know what a Schecter Stiletto Extreme 5 looks like(and I shudder to visualize it) but best keep that one for your Satan metal band. Hey why not just get the church a Dano longhorn? Cheap and has that angel harp kinda look.
If you want the money, sell it. If the church would pay close to market rate maybe do that. Otherwise sell it on here.

DON'T RENT!!! You will have the tension of worrying every time someone handles it in a way that may cause damage or other problems. This could cause additional issues to come between you and other church members, and satan loves to get between fellow christians. I would say donate, and if you tithe, and can't afford to do both, ask if you could count the donation as your tithe. If not, then sell it for whatever amount the spirit leads you to. I would look at this situation as a chance to be a great witness, whatever the situation(I don't know what it is, and it is none of my business). If you show understanding for whatever the church has decided, you will be more likely to be asked to return as the bass player than if you "take your toys and go play somewhere else".
