Reproduction Fender decals

I am not a person to want signature'd or personally endorsed things, and a bass is kinda personal like - well, underwear - so why would I want smiling pixs of Mic or Charlie on my skivvies? lol.

OK children, let's NOT run with that last statement!

Now - SPONGE BOB may be good! Or not.

(hope you see the 'lol' there - I even wince at SRV stickered on a guitar.)

The fact that there's a picture of a star or hero on something that's possibly gonna be used in public seems to limit the people who would want you at their BBQ or wedding or whatever you are playing for at the mo.

It's gotta be embarrassing to be playing at an Anti-Drugs rally and to have the Rolling Stones on your bass - see what I mean?

Work is hard enough to find; why have a logo limit your chances of employment?

But as far as a custom water slide, I think it's great and if it's your sig, then more power to ya.

That's just me though and I have a somewhat arcane sense of humor.

I wasn't gonna slap Mick Jagger on my headstock, i was thinking more along the lines of the "R" from the magazine. haha

I would likely spells something with iconic letters (the "E" from TIME, a "g" from a newspaper heading, etc...) Just don't know what to put on there or spell. I'm just trying to make a cool headstock cool without people thinking i have some cheap "no brand" bass or pissing people of with a j- bass logo.

Essentially, i am trying to please the masses while still pleasing my self.....that didn't come out quite right, but you get the idea...

The best copy I ever saw was a "Fencler" not a "Fender". The logo was basically the Fender script as close as possible, but instead of a 'd', the guy put a 'cl'. When on the headstock, it looked a lot like a Fender logo, but under the pickguard was a regular readable logo that proudly stated "Fencler Guitars". So far, that's the best fully legal sneakiness I've yet seen...

Hahaha! Wow, that's a whole new level of thin iceskating.
