Maybe it's just that I haven't had enough coffee yet today, or maybe it's that I'm getting grouchy as I get older; but the ire in this thread just kills me.

"Sire" comes with the "ire" built in. Wocka wocka. And seriously, I don't get how these angry mobs develop over what stuff one should or shouldn't buy either. Less talk, more rock. Or maybe talk about playing and music more? Or just less about buying stuff and how to do it? T-minus-30 until "maybe if you don't wanna TALK about it, maybe don't come to TALK BASS!!!??!" comment.

Yeah, I need to brew up a second pot today too.

I wonder why he went with the name Sire. That's like starting up a bass shop and calling your product "Akeland", "Benez" or "Ephone".
Half the "Squire" lovers outside of TB probably think it's an overpriced Squier. It seems like once the blush fades off the sales from gear forums like this one that it'd make it more challenging to sustain.

I'm closing this thread. Since there is/was apparently a promotion policy, I'm going to start treating Sire-related posts in other threads as spam when it looks like it's becoming a posting pattern (from anyone). Note the word "pattern." I'm not going to delete every single post. Just so everyone is aware, members that receive significant (yes I know that's subjective) should disclose that they are an "endorsing artist" in their profile. This is not the same as a Commercial User and they are not bound by the CUP unless there is a pattern of promotion. This is mentioned in rule 9 of the Terms of Service. There is some understandable confusion about past promotion and (I'll call them) "thank yous" which I'm trying to address.

So, thanks for your patience. I'm working on it...
