Resolved: Reverb woes

Reverb could just pay dude his money, send him a label to ship it to them and then deal w me
But that would likely make too much sense and be too fair to him

I'm sorry he's going through this but I'm not blindly refunding his money and taking a leap of faith that I'll ever get the bass back let alone in one piece

But you're the one that took out the insurance, not him. And he doesn't want the bass anymore, because it got damaged when you sent it to him.

It's not your fault that it got damaged. But it's your responsibility to repay him and deal with the company you contracted to provide insurance coverage.

And for what it's worth in the 2x I had Reverb process a refund it was like pulling teeth and I didn't get my money back until the seller received the bass back, even then they give them a few days after to process it

This fella sadly is 3 weeks away via USPS

Sorry not sorry, Reverb needs to make good

The refund comes from you. The payment for your claims goes to you, so the refund comes from you. Effectively you're holding the buyer hostage.

I haven't even received clear pics of the 'damage' at this point it could just be a rough semi finished area at the base of the neck

If the bass doesn't have any actual damage I'm certainly not refunding anyone anything

I'm sorry all of this is so upsetting for you

You could send a case to the buyer or ask them to buy a new case for you locally if you send them the cash. I guess there is a chance of damage to that exact spot, but it's unlikely. How do you expect to get the bass back to you? And I know that you don't want it returned to you, but that's really not how the insurance works. Surely you understand that by now. It really looks like you want to stick it to the buyer.
I am with you. I sort of held back because I don't want to poke sticks in peoples cages.
Please let me explain why.

1. I fully believe that the buyer deserves a prompt and full refund.

2. Seller needs to remain friendly and professional with buyer in order to get the bass bass as safely as possible.
I was in this exact situation and the buyer went above and beyond to use a better box and get my item back safely.

3. I knew it was on me to work the rest out. Period. Fighting for the insurance claim has zero to do with buyer other than(if they chose to) helping you win the insurance claim. Taking pictures, emailing etc... Those are all things the buyer will do if you treat them with total respect.

OP is cutting his nose off to spite his face a little bit. He comes off a little bit as entitled, like the world owes him. Which in a way is true. But you are only owed what is fair and justly due to you.

Reverb should pay for that case or send one of their own cases to the buyer.

It just doesn't work that way. The pics you already showed are more than enough for the buyer to get a refund and send the bass back.
There's absolutely no way the buyer will not get his refund. I 100% guarantee you that.

Don't get the persistence and passive aggressiveness of a few people here, life's too short for BS especially BS about BS.
Hitting the mute button on a few
Flame on

I'm still collecting facts and pleading my case w Reverb.
Reverb policy is also not to process a refund until you receive the item back.
So feel free to cry about how I'm personally harming this guy and putting him out and blah blah blah

Says the guy that screwed me on a bass once (check feedback to confirm)

Take your salty sour grapes elsewhere
It's not sour grapes. Plus I already apologized for our transaction that went south. That's another example of how you cut your nose of to spite your face. Had you been kind and peaceful with me you would have had a perfect Noir in your hands.
Again no sour grapes. I am honestly 100% trying to help you. We all have to try to learn from each situation and do better next time.
I learned from you when our deal went bad and I would have stayed out of this thread if I thought you resented me. I thought we worked it out.
Anyhow, I wish you the best with this situation.

Point is I've heard the same opinion by the same people multiple times.
I respectfully disagree.
Trying to make me feel bad or guilty of something isn't helpful or constructive

Lol dude you're too much
You canceled the sale days after the fact because you had ' remorse'
Sucked for me because I had sold a bass to cover the expense , when I let you know that you released a barrage of profanity on me.
Not sure what ' kind ' or ' peaceful ' has to do with anything, I never swore at you or demeaned you.
That was all on your end.
Had YOU been kind or peaceful I wouldn't have left the negative.
You're welcome to post any evidence of my lack of kindness or peacefulness.
Just seemed like someone was being extremely optioned and forceful w said opinion and you decided to pile it on
Not even close to the truth. I still have proof of how you paid me only $900 Via Paypal for a $3000 bass.
I thought I was getting scammed. By the time I realized what was happening, You had already started a thread bashing me. You have a problem dealing with people and are just proving it once again with this very thread.
You are dissing older, wiser people who are trying to help you.
You need to work with the Buyer to get your RIC back safely. Instead you are fighting with him over a refund he's 100% entitled to.
Those are the facts whether you chose to believe them or not.
You should have already asked the buyer in a very nice way to please get the RIC back to you as safely as possible. Maybe even offer some extra $$ for a better box.(like the one the bass came in from Sweetwater).
