Again, let Reverb know they need to receive the bass and do whatever they want with it. Advocate for your buyer as well as yourself. The buyer shouldn't have to keep it and the seller who paid the insurance certainly doesn't have to accept a compromised bass back. Again, if anyone questions the packing remind them that Ric has been doing it that way for yrs but you're willing to concede on the case as it itself provided excellent packing for the contents, under normal circumstances the bass would still be in the same condition as when it left. I'm telling you, that's how I'd play it. It speaks volumes. It reminds them that the bass had beyond adequate protection as it traveled. It's highly unlikely double boxing it with a done been any help in this case. Hell a wooden crate may not have been enough.
