Retro 80s bass chorus pedal?

Think: New order, The Smiths, Squeeze..

I think the TC electronic SCF might be the one.
I have a Boss CE2 and find it to be on the metallic side.
The small clone didn't do it for me either.

I'd say the Clone Theory would be an excellent match (and I'm not just saying that because I have one for sale in the Classifieds forum).

For a retro chorus sound, the electro-harmonix clone theory or one of the danelectro chorus pedals would be great choices for that.

The Clone Theory seems like a good choice since Peter Hook (Joy Division, New Order) uses/used one and that's the sound you're looking to emulate.

The Clone Theory is the best for this sort of thing. I use it a lot with my band. If it ever got stolen or killed I would have to get another one immediately.

very good chorus imho. here in europe is a bit expensive maybe, but in the us i think you can find it under 50 bucks

EHX for an 80s icy chorus sound. Old DOD or Arion for a warmer synth pad sounding 80s style chorus.

Thanks for the suggestions. Been keeping my eyes open for a Clone theory or perhaps a DOD.
I have an MIJ Boss CE2, which is great, and a Line 6 Space chorus which I mostly use for the tap vibrato.

The poor forgotten Boss CE-3 is an excellent 100% analog chorus that has all the desirable chips etc and can be found for cheap. The reason no-one wants them is because they don't do the swirly leslie thing. But they do the 80's crisp, glassy, chorus thing great.
Look for the black knobs with orange dashes which is usually pre-1988 thus MIJ IIRC...
