Reverb problem

Has anyone who just started selling on reverb have a problem actually getting paid? I sold two items. Had to link my back account and tell them two small deposits into my bank get my money. I got an email from my bank saying there was one and I called to verify it was only one. Called reverb and they were complete jerks and making me wait for a follow up email. I asked the rep if I could have her email and forward the info to her but she refused. I also didn't get a response to why I can't get paid even with the one deposit I verified. I mean that proves it's me and the email is also proof.

I have heard they have gotten bad, but regret using them. I never have any issues with eBay and get paid promptly with them. Reverb sucks and their agents act like they are doing you a favor.

I haven't had an issue with getting paid by Reverb, they seem to have their process in order as far as receiving or sending funds. That's been my experience anyway.

My issue with them is that after shipping costs, sales tax, and their percentage being deducted from the selling price- what the seller ultimately receives doesn't reflect what the product is worth. Adding those costs to the price puts the item over market value, making it difficult to sell.
In addition, their Customer Service is not very accessible. It used to be possible to contact an Agent by phone; no longer. It's now either by chat or E-mail.

In fairness to Reverb, the second deposit may not be instantly posted by your bank. Banks have a tendency to instantly pull funds from your account and then will only deposit once per 24 hour period after they run any transactions against your account. They want to maximize any overdraft fees they can get from all accounts.

What I don't get is that I told them what the amount was, so how would I know that if it wasn't my bank account?

Lucky guess. One out of One hundred where getting two correct has a one out of ten thousand odds. The customer service people you're chatting with have to follow procedure. Did the second deposit show up in your account yet?

Once you become a "Preferred Seller" (I forget how many sales you need to complete) the money comes straight-away; as soon as shipping info is confirmed. Then it's just a matter of a few days at most until your Bank posts the funds. Every Bank is different, mine usually only takes around (2) days.
Before being "Preferred" it took a bit longer, maybe a week at most.

But that means I had a 99% chance of being right. I also have my bank's email saying it was deposited. They are the ones that sent one one deposit. Thats not my problem.

I had an issue with this when I changed the account I was paid out to, the payment took about 20 days to sort itself out. Reverb we’re not much help and insisted it was my fault and I had typos in my account numbers (I have the auto save on the form so I knew they were right).
Not much you can do but wait it out.
I’ve pretty much stopped using the site for selling now

Verifying 2 deposits is more secure than verifying one, and more security means more hassle. Airports, reverb, whatever. They're not going to make an exception to their security policy so I hope you can verify a second deposit or do some other option(I had paypal conected to it but haven't sold anything forever so I don't know what they're doing now)

I don't appreciate them sitting on a large amount of my cash. They should have sent both at once. They are not doing me a favor by paying me what I'm owed
Well, there you go. Rules are rules, and the only problem here is that you're expecting them to bend the rules for you, and those rules exist to protect your best interests. You can jump and scream all you want, I'm sure they've heard it all, but they're not changing their security procedures for you or anyone else.

This is not a Reverb "problem." It's an "I don't think the rules should apply to me" problem.

Surely from Reverb's perspective OP response probably has "scam alert" written all over it.

Most scammers would want to circumvent the 2-deposit process, wanting sale money immediately.

Most scammers would also become contrary with Reverb customer service agents, bullying then to forego their rules.

It's probably also Reverb policy to investigate matters, slowing down their normal approval and disbursement process when this happens.

Out of curiosity, have the OP's Reverb buyers left positive feedback for the OP?
