They just finished up. Mike sounded great, and i want one of these badly now.
The Watt sig will be officially released at NAMM 2017, which starts this weekend.

They blew X out of the water by quite a bit. I wanted to go on the oth but couldnt make it.
So the econo bass is not too econo. I'd love one, I play short-scales and I love and respect Watt a ton, but damn!
Just bought the far left prototype from Reverend myself! Should be here tomorrow.
One of one. Has a different headstock logo placement, chrome knobs, Schaller 2000 4 bridge, different fretboard inlays, Metallic Alpine finish and the tort guard. The far right prototype is the final one that went into production I believe.
I think there are three or four of the orange ones made and that color won't be in production. Mike Watt has one of those.

I guess I should post my proto here. Just so Chef can hate it in one more place. 
There seems to be a nautical theme to some of his solo work, such as Contemplating the Engine Room. It might be something to do with growing up and living in San Pedro?
His dad was a Navy guy, that's him on the cover of Contemplating. . . Watt makes a lot of analogies to his life touring and his dad's life in the Navy. Watt calls his van "the boat," for example.
