Did anyone notice this on the Wattplower? A "Brass bridge spacer" - is this on any of the prototypes?

From the Reverend site: "This adjustable spacing bridge allows for more sustain and has a string thru or top-load option. Coupled with a Brass bridge spacer, the sustain on this bass is wicked!"

It was the last change made along with the Hipshot bridge. It might be on the Emerald green proto that was listed but besides that probably not.

Thanks for the answer MM. Do you know if the neck is angled now to compensate for the spacer or is the fretboard just higher above the body now?

Np, I think its just to compensate for the difference between the last 2 bridges. The one on my proto is huge.

I do not think there was any structural change.
And yes...that's my daughter's room.

If it wasn't for the price tag I would definitely get one at some point.

I love Greg Koch (his demos at wildwood are awesome), but I get the sense he has no idea who Mike Watt is.

I got the gold proto, 2x2 headstock and have the same huge bridge. It's a strange one (no intonation screws, un-clamp and shift by hand, re-clamp) but it works.

I've got to say, this bass is really growing on me!

It's not my dream instrument at all - I'd prefer it with the 2 up, 2 down headstock and in black, for starters - but damn if I can't get the green one out of my head...

I've always has a soft spot for Gibson - this takes that same "feel" but actually looks like it was designed with bass players in mind.***

Do. Not. Need. Another. Bass.


*** no disrespect to Gibson's classic basses. But to me their layouts are definitely hit and miss.

Had a 3-hour rehearsal with my proto this morning. Alternated between giggling like a kid and rocking way too hard for 10AM. Best. Bass. Ever!

I saw this an NAMM and my mouth dropped. Not only does it look like an amazing bass, but Mike Watt is the whole reason I picked up the bass. I have not been truly excited about a bass for a few years, this one has definitely made my GAS list.

I only have one Reverend retailer local to me and their prices suck, but I hope they get one of these in so I can check it out! I think my 40th bday present to myself could be one of these or the Hammersmith K.
