Richest bassist?

It's got to be Paul. I think he's one of the wealthiest people in the U.K., he has played nothing but arenas since 1964, and has had a ridiculous number of albums top the charts throughout his career (too lazy to Wiki it).

this is probobly the most innacurate post i've ever seen on TB! no offence to you, but infering that paul mccartney is not a "real" bass player is just not right..and more on topic, if you think michael anthony is one of the richest bass players in the world your out of your mind. his career lasted a fraction of the amount of time that mccartneys did, and what do you pay to see him in concert now, as compared to paul mccartney, whos career started in the early 1960s?

I dont think he said paul was not a real bass player. Ya...I see where he talking about areosmith, but nothing saying paul is not. Good thing he did not state his OPINION about Geddy, there would be an all out war! :rollno:

Les Claypool $45 Million? What did he win Powerball?
How can that be possible? The guy cant sell out a stadium as far as i know? Has no hit records? That cant be correct.

He also doesn't produce for other artists much (if at all), and isn't a prolific songwriter...(thinking as I write)...South Park! He's probably getting South Park royalties.

mmm South Park.. OK.. Forgot about that..
but still thats not gonna get ya to $45 Million. Some of my associates write for some major TV productions on TV each week.. They have money but not $45 million type money.

You also got too remember he has being doing it for quite a while, and primus is a pretty big name. I doubt any bass players Haven't heard of him. That along with having made the south park theme forever ago, playing big festivals around the world (gathering of the vibes for example), plus he has his own winery, autograph signings (the kind where it's 5 bucks to wait in line) and I'm sure I'm missing more. I don't think 45mill is out of his reach. As long as you are smart with your money, you can have as much success as you need financially
