Rick Neck P-up in a '51 P?

Anyone ever seen/done this before?

Not in a P Bass but I have put a Rick neck hi-gain in the "bridge" position twice in two different '72 Telecaster Basses, and then put that pickup in the neck position of a '72 Jazz Bass; it is still in that bass and sounds great, too. You might have to slightly adjust the string spacing at the bridge to make it balance best, no biggie.
