I have the receipt saved as a PDF on my computer. That's not going anywhere.
As far as the card, scans will be made before it leaves my possession.
a scan does not prove that you sent it nor that they received it, AND it explicitly states on their website that only the original card issued with the instrument sent within 10 days, will be honored.I have the receipt saved as a PDF on my computer. That's not going anywhere.

Good thinking. You can also try emailing the PDF to Ric. Who knows, maybe that'll be enough to make them happy.
Cool, no problem. I'm just waiting for you to hop on over to our side, based on how things are going with your situation.Better go pop some more, this is a civil thread. Ric hater's continued silence is much appreciated.
Well, according to the BBB, RIC made Mark B. a happy camper by resolving his finish issue:

All kidding aside, I don't hate Ric's really.

or buy used... still an effective boycott.Even if this thing goes totally sideways and they don't honor it I won't be a RIC hater. I still love the instruments. They feel great, they look amazing and sound even better.
But my stance on purchasing, owning and dealing with them in general will shift radically. I can't say I'd buy another one, which is a shame because I love the one I have, finish problems aside. I wouldn't try to talk someone into or out of buying one, but I will certainly relate my experience to them. If it goes that way it will be all around unfortunate.
Email I just sent to RIC:
I have found the original warranty card included with my instrument. My local USPS has closed for the day, I will mail it tomorrowwith tracked shipping to ensure timely delivery and receipt, along with a copy of my original sales invoice.
Sincerely.
I would think that should cover it.
